SAINT JOHN, N.B. - A weekend apartment building fire in New Brunswick has left 11 people, including at least two children, temporarily homeless.

The blaze was began 355 Coldbrook Crescent in east-end Saint John early Saturday afternoon.

It was first reported on the second level of the three-storey structure.

Fire Chief Eric Garland says many of the residences in the 12-unit building suffered extensive fire, smoke or water damage.

No one was injured.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
