BATHURST, N.B. -- One woman is dead after colliding head-on with an oncoming vehicle on a highway near Bathurst, NB.
New Brunswick RCMP say the crash happened at around 9:30 a.m. on Highway 11.
RCMP say a 53-year-old woman died at the scene after her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle driving the opposite direction.
Police report she was the only person in the vehicle at the time. The two occupants of the other vehicle were not injured.
Highway 11 was closed for several hours while police attended the scene.
RCMP are still investigation, but say that at this time, nothing criminal is suspected.
