B.C. woman dies after vehicle overturns off Cape Breton highway

SYDNEY, N.S. -- Police in Nova Scotia say a woman from British Columbia has died in a single-vehicle crash in Cape Breton.

Officers responded early Monday to reports that a vehicle had left the road and flipped over while travelling on Highway 125 in Sydney.

A 59-year-old woman from Surrey, B.C., was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was a passenger in the vehicle.

Police closed Highway 125 at Exit 8 to continue their investigation.
