An elderly couple has proved they have moves like Jagger and the soul of James Brown.

A routine gig in the dining room of the Inverary Resort in Baddeck, N.S., turned into a night that musician Keith Mullins won’t soon forget.

"They came in and they said, 'Is there any way we can order a water? We just want to dance,'” says Mullins, “and I knew it right from there. I was like, 'Yeah, you can dance.'”

The husband and wife visiting from Texas motored through a few other numbers first. The Mullins decided to set a faster pace with Bruno Mars’ hit song “Uptown Funk.”

"I saw that he had all the moves," says Mullins.

The video has gone viral with hundreds of thousands of views. Many are singing the praises of the couple's carefree energy.

And in particular, the man's dance moves.

“You could tell that in his day, he really had it going on," says Mullins.

The swinging seniors have gone back home to Texas. Their last night on vacation was Friday.

But they left a life lesson behind on the dance floor.

"No matter what age you are, they're a shining example of not caring what anybody thinks and just going for it," says Mullins

Mullins says a simple gesture seem to indicate that they had a good time.

"He gave me a $5 US tip and said, 'Thanks, that made my night.'"
