HALIFAX -- Halifax Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with a slaying 10 years ago.

Police say 31-year-old Shilo Marcino Beals of Cherry Brook, N.S., faces one count of first-degree murder in the death of Kevin James Bowser.

The 28-year-old victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds on Uniacke Street near downtown Halifax on July 10, 2004.

He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Beals also faces six weapons-related offences.

Police say he is believed to be in the Halifax area and is considered armed and dangerous.
