A candlelight vigil will be held for a missing 23-year-old Eskasoni, N.S. woman Monday evening.

Police say Chrisma Ann Joy Denny’s family hasn’t seen or heard from her in weeks. They reported her missing Nov. 4.

Investigators have been able to confirm Denny’s last known sighting was at the Eskasoni Band Office on Sept. 11.

Police say Denny is originally from Eskasoni and has been known to live there and also in Sydney. She is also known to travel outside Cape Breton for extended periods of time.

Her family believes she was most recently living in the Sydney area.

A candlelight vigil for Denny will take place Monday at the Holy Family Parish and Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni. It starts at 7 p.m.

The Native Women’s Association is also planning a provincewide poster campaign and will meet with volunteers after the vigil.

Denny is described a five-foot-six and 145 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and dark skin.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Cape Breton Regional Police at 902-563-5151, Eskasoni RCMP at 902-379-3822, or anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
