Police have laid a total of 37 charges against three teens and a 21-year-old man in connection with a rash of break-and-enters throughout the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

Dylan Riley MacDonald is facing 20 charges, including break and enter, theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, flight from a peace officer and several breaches of probation. The 18-year-old Balls Creek man has been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Facility and is due to appear in Sydney provincial court on Tuesday.

James Martin Cameron is facing 11 charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, flight from a peace officer and several breaches of probation. The 21-year-old Sydney man has been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Facility and is due in Sydney provincial court on Wednesday.

A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, both from Sydney, are facing six charges, including break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and several breaches of probation.

The boy was remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Facility and the girl was released on a promise to appear. They are expected to appear at the Sydney provincial youth court at a later date.
