A Cape Breton woman is facing charges following a stabbing on the Wagmatcook First Nation.
RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing at a home on Central Road around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.
When they arrived on the scene they found a 39-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds. She was taken to the Victoria County Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested a female suspect at the home and also seized a knife they believed was used to stab the victim.
The suspect, a 36-year-old Wagmatcook woman, is facing charges in connection with the incident, including assault with a weapon.
Police say she is in custody and is due to appear in Sydney provincial court Thursday.
They also say the victim and suspect were known to one another.
