A New Brunswick man is expected to enter a plea today on charges relating to sexual exploitation of more than 2,000 young people online.

RCMP say the 25-year-old from Moncton has previously pleaded guilty to producing and distributing child pornography, as well as sexual assault.

He is accused of posing as a teenage girl online in order to convince young boys to send him images and videos of a sexual nature.

Police say they've been able to identify 40 victims in North America and Europe -- all boys between the ages of 10 and 16.
