HALIFAX - An R-C-M-P officer in Nova Scotia is due in court in October on charges of assault and uttering a threat.

Constable Natasha Renee Dantiste is an officer with the Cole Harbour detachment.

The 46-year-old was charged after the province's Serious Incident Response Team investigated allegations of domestic violence.

The team investigates serious incidents involving police.

It says it began looking into the matter after a man filed a complaint with Halifax police early last month.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred between July 2010 and December 31st, 2013.
