A Cape Bretoner who is playing hockey across the pond is getting a lot of replays online.

Chris Culligan is in his first year with the Cardiff Devils of the British Elite Ice Hockey League. The 26-year-old Howie Centre, N.S. native is a former Cape Breton Screaming Eagle and is also a big name in Fredericton, where he owns several scoring records with the UNB Reds.

A recent goal by Culligan was posted to YouTube Thursday and had more than 11,000 views by 10 a.m. Friday.

In the video, Culligan is seen dragging the puck across the crease while on his knees. He then scoops it into the net while lying flat on the ice.

Some are calling it the goal of the year.
