A 22-year-old man is facing charges following a fatal car crash in New Brunswick on the weekend.
RCMP say the crash occurred around 4 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle left the road and crashed into a telephone pole in Balmoral.
A 36-year-old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was taken to the Campbellton Regional Hospital where she died from her injuries.
A second passenger, a 23-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The driver is facing several charges in connection with the incident and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
