The fight against fracking is widening today in New Brunswick.

Demonstrators are still out in full force and continue to block seismic testing equipment on a road near Stanley, New Brunswick.

This morning protestors also took their concerns to the Premier's office where they were joined by Liberal Opposition Leader, Victor Boudreau.

Demonstrators demanded that Premier David Alward and Natural Resource Minister, Bruce Northrup, travel to Stanley to meet with those engaged in the blockade.

Alward says he doesn't condone the road block which has been set up to stop trucks from moving equipment in and out of the work area.

Fracking is a controversial method of extracting natural gas from shale.

Demonstrators say they fear it will threaten the water supply in the area and the rural way of life in much of the province.

Yesterday dozens of angry people barricaded two ends of road near Stanley blocking seismic testing from being moved.

The company using the equipment said the protest delayed their exploration schedule.

Today demonstrators say they will continue to protest until the Premier takes action.
