Four people are facing arson charges in connection with a house fire in Richibucto, N.B.

Police say the Des Copains Street home was deliberately set on fire on July 20.

Investigators have determined a bottle containing an accelerant was lit and thrown at the house.

A neighbour, who also happens to be a volunteer firefighter, noticed the flames and quickly extinguished the flames.

Police say no one was home at the time and the building sustained only minor damage.

Alfred Savoie, 35, of Aldouane, Nicole Thibodeau, 35, of Saint-Louis, Paul-Emile Daigle, 36, of Moncton and Jessica Couture-Day, 22, of Saint-Louise each face a charge of arson in connection with the incident.

They are scheduled to appear in Moncton provincial court Tuesday to enter a plea.
