Search crews and volunteers are now into the fifth day of their round-the-clock search in Bear Island, N.B., where a 41-year-old man is believed to be missing in the woods.

The search is expected to continue through Tuesday night for Kevin Boudreau of Bear Island, who was last seen taking off on an all-terrain vehicle around 2 p.m. last Friday.

His family reported him missing early the next morning, but since then the only sign of him that’s been found is his ATV.

“The most likely area he would be found would be around his ATV, last point seen,” said Sgt. Joel Saule of the New Brunswick RCMP.

“So that (area) was searched in a grid search fashion, and several kilometres were searched fairly thoroughly.”

Several different groups and agencies have helped in the search, including police dogs and an RCMP helicopter.

Saule says about 50 searchers have been involved in the effort since the search began.

Gail Farnsworth is one of the volunteers helping out.

“I guess I found out it’s Tuesday, but really the days are blending and going in one to the other,” she said.

Boudreau, who has short dark hair and wears glasses, was last seen wearing jeans, a white T-shirt, a green fleece jacket and a ball cap.

Police say he did not have a cellphone with him when he was last seen.
