A man was taken into custody Sunday morning after answering the door with a pellet gun.
Halifax Regional Police say officers were patrolling in the area of the 5700 block of Atlantic Street around 4:45 a.m. when they noticed a man acting suspiciously outside one of the homes.
Officers approached the man, and after a discussion, decided to help him wake up his roommate.
Officers knocked on the door of the home and the resident answered holding a pellet gun. The 23-year-old was immediately taken into custody.
Police say the matter remains under investigation. No charges have been laid.
