A man has been arrested after he allegedly exposed himself to a female employee at a clothing store in Dartmouth Crossing last week.

Halifax Regional Police say the man entered the store in the 100 block of Hector Gate around 8:15 p.m. on May 18 and asked to try on clothes in the dressing room.

The man asked for help and, when the female employee opened the door, police allege he exposed his penis and then put his hand on her shoulder. The woman then ran to the front of the store.

Police say the man left the changing room, went to the front of the store, and briefly spoke with other staff members before leaving the business.

Investigators arrested a 24-year-old Halifax man Thursday in an apartment building on Washmill Lake Drive.

He is due to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on July 12.
