A Halifax man is facing charges after a man was stabbed in Dartmouth early Saturday.

Police responded to a residence in the 0-100 block of Primrose Street around 12:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a 39-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested a 20-year-old man on Jackson Road a short time later.

Joseph Douglas Rolfe was held in custody over the weekend. He is due to appear in Halifax provincial court Monday to face charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and four counts of breaching previously-imposed court orders.
