After receiving reports of stunt drivers gathering in a quiet corner of Halifax, police have issued a warning: We’ll be there too.

Halifax Regional Police say residents can expect an increased police presence Wednesday night on Evergreen Place, a dead-end street off Prospect Road.

That’s where police say people have been gathering in recent weeks to watch motorists and motorcyclists do stunts.

Along with dangerous driving, the evening gatherings are believed to involve drinking, drug use and littering, police say.

Starting Wednesday night, police say officers will be in the area ready to stop dangerous activities and issue tickets as warranted.

Anyone wishing to offer information or report dangerous activity is encouraged to call Halifax police at 902-490-5020.
