Halifax police say they’re investigating after a woman reported being threatened and groped in Dartmouth early Thursday morning.
Halifax Regional Police say the woman was walking on a path between Collins Grove and Regal roads at about 12:45 a.m. Thursday when a man approached her from behind.
Police say the man threatened the woman and then touched her in a sexual manner over her clothing.
The woman managed to escape and later reported the incident to police.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, of medium build and 5’8” tall, with light-coloured eyes and short, light-coloured hair, police say.
He was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie at the time of the incident.
Officers from the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating, police say.
