Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run incident last week.

Police say a 42-year-old man was crossing in the 3900 block of Kencrest Avenue around noon on Feb. 18 when he was struck by a vehicle travelling north on Kencrest Avenue.

The car failed to stop and continued along Kencrest before turning left on Novalea Drive.

Police say the pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.

Investigators are looking to speak with the driver of the vehicle. The car is described as a newer white Toyota Echo, but a description of the driver was not provided.

Anyone with information about the driver or collision is asked to contact police.
