Halifax Regional Police are warning the public and searching for a suspect after a man was caught peering in the window of a home on Willow Street.

Patrol officers responded to the home at 11:30 p.m. Monday.

The officers spotted a man looking in the window when they arrived, but he jumped over a fence when they identified themselves as police.

Officers searched the area with a K9 unit, but they were unable to locate the man. He was last seen running toward Clifton Street.

Police say this is the second such incident, as the complainants believe they caught the same man looking in their window a few weeks ago. They didn’t report the incident at that time.

The suspect is described as a man with tanned skin who is roughly 30 years old. He was wearing a dark green or black zippered jacket or sweater with a hood, black gym shorts and white running shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
