Police are searching for two suspects in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Halifax.
Officers responded to Prestwick Close in Clayton Park before 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators say the alleged victim had posted an ad online and arranged to meet with an interested buyer.
He met two men in the lobby of an apartment building. Police say one of the men produced a knife while the second indicated he had a firearm.
The men began to fight and the suspects fled the scene on foot.
Officers checked the area but failed to locate the suspects.
One suspect is described as a black male, 17 to 18 years old, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans at the time.
The second suspect is described as a white male, 18 to 20 years old, with a medium build. He was wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans.
