LOUISBOURG, N.S. -- A Nova Scotia man is in the hospital with serious injuries following a home invasion and assault in Louisbourg.
Police say officers were dispatched to a residence in Louisbourg around 4:55 a.m. after receiving a report that the victim had been awoken by two men, who kicked down the door to the house and began beating him.
Police say the two suspects then fled the scene.
At this time, police do not believe that anything was stolen from the property.
