A hunter lost in Nova Scotia’s Cumberland County has been safely located.

Police say the 68-year-old man went out by himself on an all-terrain vehicle around 4 p.m. Thursday.

However, he failed to return to camp and members of his hunting party set out to look for him.

They located the man’s ATV in the Farmington area but he was not with it. The hunters then called police.

Pugwash and Springhill Ground Search and Rescue and a K9 unit assisted police in their search.

The man was safely located around 3:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say he was tired, but in good health.
