CTV is proud to support the IWK Health Centre 365 days a year.
One of our biggest commitments to the IWK is the annual telethon. It's held the first weekend in June and last year, more than half a million dollars was raised for the IWK Health Centre Foundation.
The 29th annual IWK Telethon for Children will take place on June 1 and 2, 2013, broadcasting live from the IWK Health Centre as well as Sydney, Charlottetown and Saint John.
Donations made through this year's IWK telethon will help purchase priority medical equipment, fund ground-breaking research and support special programs for patients and families.
CTV also produces a number of stories over the year on inspiring children who are or have been patients at the IWK. In 2011 we began producing a series of public service announcements called "In Your IWK." They feature IWK staff members speaking on a variety of topics which include bullying and post-partum depression.
