MILLBROOK, N.S. - Police say 19-year-old Doug Probert of Onslow has been charged in connection with the alleged incident at a business plaza in Millbrook on Thursday evening.
Shortly after 8 p.m., Lower Sackville RCMP received a 911 call from a home on Hilltop Drive about a pedestrian-vehicle collision.
Police and emergency crews responded to the home and found a teen suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax.
Investigators have determined the alleged victim and suspect had been involved in an altercation in Millbrook, which led to the teen being run over by a vehicle several times.
Police arrested a suspect without incident at his home in Onslow. He has been remanded into custody.
Probert is scheduled to appear in Truro provincial court on Monday.
The incident remains under investigation.
