One person is dead and another is in hospital with serious injuries after a car collided head-on with a pickup truck on Highway 11 in Cocagne, N.B.
The RCMP responded to the crash on the Cocagne Bridge shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the driver of the car, a 73-year-old Cape Spear, N.B. man, died at the scene.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation but police say slippery road conditions are believed to have been a factor.
