Two people are facing charges after a man was allegedly robbed at knifepoint after meeting up with a woman he met on a popular dating website.

Police responded to the area of Kennedy Drive and Caledonia Road in Dartmouth before 1 a.m. Monday.

The man told police he had been robbed by a man and woman after meeting the woman on Plenty of Fish.

Police say the man sustained minor facial injuries after being punched. He was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Both suspects were arrested in the area without incident.

Heidi Elizabeth Heise, 31, and David George Moriah, 34, both from Dartmouth, are due in court Monday to face charges of robbery with a weapon.

Heise is also facing a charge of one count of breaching a probation order.
