HALIFAX -- Halifax police say a 50-year-old man has been arrested on assault and weapons charges.
Police say they responded to an incident at an apartment on Gaston Road around 11:00 p.m. Sunday in which a man allegedly pointed a gun at a woman.
The 37-year-old woman wasn't hurt.
Police say they seized three rifles following a search of the apartment.
The suspect faces several charges including assault with a weapon, careless use of a firearm and uttering threats.
