A 47-year-old Heatherton man is facing charges after a man was stabbed in the face in Afton, N.S., early Saturday morning.
Police say the incident happened at about 3:50 a.m. at a residence on Highway 4 in Afton. The 29-year-old victim was stabbed in the face and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim has since been released from hospital.
An RCMP Canine Unit was called to the scene but the suspect was not found overnight. Police say the man was arrested in Tracadie at about 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
He is facing a charge of aggravated assault and breach of probation.
