A man is dead after his vehicle collided with an oil truck in Howie Centre, N.S.
The RCMP, Cape Breton Regional Police and emergency crews responded to the collision on Kings Road after 1:30 p.m.
Investigators say the oil truck was travelling east when it collided with a westbound Chevrolet Impala.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the vehicle at the time.
The two occupants of the truck were not injured.
Kings Road was closed and traffic was rerouted for several hours. It has since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
