Three people are in hospital after a vehicle crashed into a tree in the Fredericton area early Friday.
Police and emergency crews responded to Woodstock Road at Riverfront Way in Silverwood just before 7 a.m.
Investigators say it appears the vehicle left the road and crashed into the tree.
Two women were taken to hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
A man was transferred to the Saint John Regional Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Police say the incident remains under investigation but it appears the rainy weather may have played a role in the crash.
