One man is dead and another is seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision in New Brunswick’s Fundy National Park.

The RCMP responded to the crash on Highway 114 shortly before 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators say it appears the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and collided with the oncoming pickup truck.

A passenger in one of the vehicles, a 20-year-old Hillsborough man, died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the car, a 21-year-old Sackville man, was sent to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck wasn’t injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
