Police in Halifax are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man reported missing from a New Brunswick halfway house.

Police say 21-year-old Brandon Anderson failed to return to a halfway house in Saint John on Sunday and a nationwide parole warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Investigators in New Brunswick contacted police in Halifax as they have reason to believe Anderson may be in the area.

Anderson was on parole for manslaughter and investigators believe he may pose a risk to the public.

They say he should be considered dangerous and is not to be approached if spotted.

Anderson is described as a white male measuring six-feet-tall and 210 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair.

Police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them.
