A 21-year-old man was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries on Saturday after he nearly drowned in Kearney Lake.
Halifax Regional Police say the swimmer was pulled out of the water by friends around 4:35 p.m.
His friends and bystanders performed CPR until emergency crews arrived.
The man from East Uniacke was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but police say his condition has improved.
