A man reported missing from the Halifax area has been found safe.

Police say Paul Couvrette was last seen by a friend at a home on Windsor Street around 7:15 a.m. Monday.

Couvrette’s girlfriend, Cindy Bremner, told CTV News that she had dropped him off at work at a gas station on Robie Street around 7 a.m. Monday but he failed to show up for his shift.

When she returned to pick him up from work later that day, he wasn’t there and she reported him missing to police.

Family and friends had expressed concern over his sudden disappearance, saying it was out of character for the 43-year-old father of four.

Police appealed to the public for help in locating Couvrette and say they received a number of reports of possible sightings from the public over the past few days.

They released another statement Thursday morning, saying Couvrette had been found safe and sound in Truro, N.S. Wednesday night by local police.
