A Miramichi, N.B. teen reported missing almost a week ago has been found safe and sound.
Gwendolyn Underhill, 17, was last seen on Wednesday.
Police believe she was still in Miramichi after receiving information that she had contacted friends through social media.
Police say tips from the public helped them to locate Underhill early Tuesday afternoon.
“The majority of this investigation was all done primarily through leads we got from the general public, so one of them panned out today,” says Const. Andrew Vickers.
“It led us to a residence here locally in Miramichi and we were able to find Ms. Underhill safe and sound.”
Police say the teen was not being held against her will and didn’t require medical attention.
