Police are renewing calls for clues as they continue to investigate the shooting death of a man in Halifax 10 years ago.

Officers responded to a report of an injured person inside a residence at 6025 Lady Hammond Road at 4:20 a.m. on May 22, 2005. Upon arrival they discovered a man in the hallway, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Leon Anthony Adams was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Adams had been home earlier in the evening on May 21. They believe he left his residence for a brief period of time after midnight and was shot when he returned home.

The homicide is part of the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program, which offers up to $150,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in certain cases.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case to contact them.
