Halifax Regional Police say three pedestrians were sent to hospital after being struck in separate collisions within a three-hour period on Monday.

Police responded to the first collision at the intersection of Hollis and Duke streets in Halifax around 5:30 p.m.

They say a 49-year-old woman was crossing Hollis Street in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a truck turning from Duke Street onto Hollis Street.

The woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 48-year-old male driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.

At 6:20 p.m., police responded to another collision at the intersection of Pleasant and Atlantic streets in Dartmouth.

Police say a 38-year-old woman was crossing Pleasant Street in a marked crosswalk when she was stuck by a car that had been travelling on Pleasant Street.

She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.

Police responded to the third collision in the 300 block of Lacewood Drive in Halifax around 7:45 p.m.

They say a 30-year-old woman was crossing Lacewood Drive in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a van travelling on Lacewood Drive.

She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the driver was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
