INDIAN BROOK, N.S. -- A Hants County man faces multiple charges, including attempting to disarm a police officer, following an arrest Friday night.
RCMP officers responded to an assault complaint at a home in Indian Brook shortly after 10 p.m.
Police say they found the man a short distance from the home, where he allegedly resisted arrest and injured himself and the arresting officers, who were treated for their injuries and released from hospital.
Twenty-nine-year-old Michael Thiebaux Jr. is also facing charges of assaulting a police officer and uttering threats.
Police say the victim of the initial assault is a 25-year-old woman from Indian Brook.
