HALIFAX - A man has been charged after another man was beaten on a Halifax Transit bus nearly two months ago.

Halifax police say a 50-year-old man was riding the bus on Oct. 29 when he asked the man sitting behind him to turn down the music coming from his headphones.

Police say the man became irate and repeatedly hit the victim in the face before fleeing the scene.

Investigators released photos of the accused to the public on Thursday and the 29-year-old man turned himself into police on Saturday.

He's facing a charge of assault.
