A Dartmouth woman only has minor scrapes and bruises after she went missing while hiking near Lake Echo, N.S. Sunday night.
RCMP say the 33-year-old woman was hiking with a friend just north of Lewis Lake around 8:00 when they became separated.
Officials say the darkness, thick brush and numerous lakes made it difficult to find the woman but search and rescue teams along with a K9 officer eventually found her about three and a half hours later.
She and her friend were reunited and escorted out of the woods by 12:30 Monday morning.
