A 39-year-old Moncton man is facing charges in connection with a violent home invasion in Grand-Digue, N.B.
The RCMP responded to a 911 call at a home on Islandview Boulevard around 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Police allege a man broke into the home and attacked a 39-year-old woman inside. They say shots were fired during the incident but that the woman only sustained minor injuries.
A man was arrested at the scene.
Luc Lebreton appeared in Moncton provincial court on Tuesday to face charges of break and enter with assault, discharging a firearm, assault with a weapon and breach of a recognizance.
The incident remains under investigation.
