FREDERICTON -- RCMP in New Brunswick say they have received dozens of complaints about a telephone scam involving the Canada Revenue Agency.

They say there have been more than 50 complaints from people who say callers claiming to be with the agency demand money.

They say the caller claims they owe the government overdue taxes.

Police say the callers are aggressive and often claim they will come to the victim's house and arrest them if the money is not paid.

They say the callers speak with a foreign accent and insist the money be paid immediately, either by credit card or via Western Union.

Police are asking anyone who receives a call and provides personal information to the caller to contact them.
