An 18-year-old Nova Scotia man is facing charges, including attempted murder, after an alleged incident earlier this month.

On Friday, the RCMP received a report of an attempted murder alleged to have taken place at a home in Afton on Nov. 13.

Police did not disclose any information about the alleged incident or victim.

Police executed a search warrant at the home on Petow Loop Extension on Saturday, during which time they seized a number of weapons, including a machete, knives and nunchuks.

Issiah Julian of Afton was arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of dangerous weapons, two counts of breach of probation and two counts of breach of an undertaking.

He remains in custody.

Police say the incident wasn’t a random act as the victim and suspect are known to one another. The incident remains under investigation.
