A 23-year-old man is facing charges after a woman was allegedly held against her will and threatened in Windsor Junction, N.S. early Tuesday.
The RCMP responded around 2 a.m. to a complaint of a woman being forcibly confined in a vehicle and threatened with a firearm on the Windsor Junction Road.
Police managed to locate the vehicle and arrested a suspect without incident.
The officers seized what looked like a firearm, but turned out to be a very realistic looking pellet gun.
Police also seized a stolen vehicle.
Shane Frizzell of Windsor Junction is charged with forcible confinement, using an imitation firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of property obtained by crime, and theft of a motor vehicle and uttering threats.
Frizzell is due to appear in Dartmouth provincial court Tuesday. The incident remains under investigation.
