Four Cape Breton teens are facing charges after they were allegedly caught driving the wrong way up a one-way street in a stolen vehicle in New Glasgow, N.S.

Police spotted the vehicle travelling in the wrong direction on Provost Street around 2 a.m. Monday.

Police say the vehicle had no front or rear bumpers and while officers tried to check the vehicle, police say the driver fled but lost control a short distance away.

No one was injured.

Upon further investigation, police realized the vehicle had been stolen in Cape Breton.

Police arrested the driver and three passengers, all from Cape Breton. The 17-year-old male driver is charged with possession of stolen property, dangerous driving, flight from police and breach of probation by driving while his licence is revoked.

A 15-year-old boy, a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl are charged with possession of stolen property.

The teens are due to appear in court Monday afternoon.
