A public consultation meeting will be held Wednesday night to discuss a proposed off-leash dog park to replace the one at Africville Park that is closing.
Halifax Regional Council voted last month to shut down the off-leash area at Africville Park as soon as a new site is idenifited and opened.
Until that happens, the current site will remain an off-leash area.
However, the park will remain closed for the five-day Africville picnic and reunion festival, starting Thursday.
The public is invited to share their input on a proposed new site at Wednesday's meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Halifax Forum.
