MOUNT STEWART, P.E.I. - Police are investigating another fire that destroyed a vacant building in a small P.E.I. community.

RCMP say it was the second fire in as many days in Mount Stewart.

Firefighters were called to a blaze at the former legion at 3:30 a.m. Monday.

The building was vacant and suffered only minor damage.

Police say that as officials were monitoring that blaze, another building caught fire.

The vacant single family dwelling was completely destroyed and the case was handed over to the RCMP.
